Dear Amy: What is the best Web site to search for pictures?
— Adayla, Tyndall, S.D.

Dear Adayla: Where you should go to find pictures online depends on what kind of pictures you need. Sometimes I like to add pictures to my school projects. Images can add a lot to make a project or report look special. The Discovery Channel Education site, http://school.discoveryeducation.com/ clipart/?pID=clipart, has a great collection of clip art you can add to your school projects and more. Another good site to find pictures is Pics4Learning at www.pics4learning.com. You can find pictures of everything from American Sign Language to zebras. The pictures at these sites are great for non-school projects, too. You could use them to make your own greeting cards or even a photo collage for your wall.

If you're looking for pictures to use as desktop wallpaper, you'll want images that are properly sized for your screen resolution. National Geographic Kids has tons of cool desktop wallpapers featuring animals, nature and space at http://kids.nationalgeographic.com/Photos/Gallery. My favorite wallpapers are in the Dogs gallery and in the Stars gallery.
