Let Freedom Ring

Martin Luther KingFreedom’s Ring, freedomsring.
, is an animation of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech. Portraits of black Americans help you learn what inspired his powerful words. While his speech was given 100 years after Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, black citizens still suffered racial injustices. Restaurants, hotels, schools and businesses were allowed to refuse service to people because of the color of their skin. Dr. King encouraged people to bravely and peacefully stand against these injustices. Listen to his words that brought change.

Indoors or Outdoors?

When I am planning an outing with my friends or family, I like to look ahead to see what the weather will be like so I can decide whether I should plan an indoor or outdoor activity.

In the winter this is especially important, because while there may be mild days, depending on where you live, there will also be days when you definitely won’t want to plan a backyard party if there will be rain or snow. These are a few sites I like to visit, some for the local forecast and others so I can learn a bit more about weather in general:
