Unique Gifts

The holidays are just around the corner, and I like to think of creative gifts I can make for family and friends. My family appreciates it when I take the time to make something especially for them.

My grandma likes to send postcards and notes, so I used some card stock to create and cut out one-of-a-kind stationery just for her. Maybe your dad loves hot cocoa. If you have extra mugs around the house, ask your mom for one that you can fill with marshmallows, hot cocoa mix and a spoon.

Moms love having closets and drawers that smell nice, and you can make a fragrant sachet that your mom would love with fabric scraps, glue and dried flowers. For a finishing touch, make your own unique gift wrap by painting, stamping and coloring designs on a roll of craft paper.

You’ll find these and other great ideas, from cookie recipes to cookie cutter candles, at Christmas Gifts Kids Can Make, spoonful.com/christmas/
